Join us this Holiday Season at Oshkosh Celebration of Lights
Celebrating 13 years of Holiday magic in 2014!
A Holiday Tradition.
Tuesday, November 25 thru Wednesday, December 31
5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Closed on Mondays, except for Monday, Dec. 22nd)
Quietly nestled along the shores of Lake Winnebago, in beautiful Menominee Park in Oshkosh, lies a single mile stretch that transforms into illuminated holiday wonder each year since 2001. Oshkosh Celebration of Lights is no longer a local best-kept secret.
This extraordinary event now attracts well over 10,000 vehicles annually, all filled with family and friends who find themselves mesmerized by the wonder of nearly a million twinkling lights. From the 100-foot tree and sculptured scenes to the animated light displays; the twinkling beauty and holiday music allows visitors to escape to that magical place only the spirit of the holiday season can bring.
Be sure to bring your camera to take pictures of the kids on Santa’s lap and visit his reindeer as they rest up for their long journey. Enjoy story time on Friday night, or go to the Elves’ Hideout to play games and make crafts.
From the very beginning, Oshkosh Celebration of Lights has made its mission to give back to the Oshkosh community in several ways. In addition to financially supporting park improvements, the event conducts a Food Drive of non-perishable food that is donated to the local food pantry. Nearly 7 TONS of food is collected annually with close to 100 tons donated since the event began.
Additionally, Celebration of Lights has teamed up with Winnebago Home Builders Association each year to sponsor the Toys for Tots Program. Visitors are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys to be distributed as Christmas gifts and messages of hope to less fortunate children in the Oshkosh area.
We haven’t forgotten our furry friends either. Receive a discount on your admission when you bring items to help the Oshkosh Area Humane Society in their work finding homes for animals. Some suggestions are: dry cat or dog food, bleach, kitty litter, paper towels, pet treats and pet toys.
Local Businesses sponsor four FREE Community Nights & a very special Night of the Torches!
A special evening is set aside to honor all Members of the Military, past and present, with free admission on Patriotic Night.
New in 2014, on Sundays: November 30th and December 14, a portion of each paid admission to Celebration of Lights will be donated to Take 5 Club, a local grass-roots non-profit organization that provides children with badly needed clothing, from socks and underwear, to warm winter coats and boots.
